One of the 'cabanas' was
dominated by what appeared to be a good-sized bar/grill
at it's center, complete with a box filled with butter
knives. The whole thing had an outdoorsy, camp-style feel to it...
as if it had hosted it's share of barbecues and summer soirees in it's
heyday... whenever that might have been. I never did see any
signs anywhere to indicate what the place had been, or what it's name
was. But some time later a resident of Freehold told me he remembered
the place from before it was abandoned, and that it was then known as
the 'Wander Inn'.
So far I have not been able to find
out anything else about this lost location, and it's reason for
abandonment remains unknown.
Do you have any background information or stories to tell about this abandoned
site?
